Default strange tomato

last year i purchased some heirloom tomato plants from a local nursery here in nj and a couple of cherry's. this year i got a late start so i wasn't going to plant, but my garden was full of small plants,from last years seeds.long story short i have a strange tomato plant,half cherry and half what i call finger tomatoes the picture will explain
any thoughts, opinions, ideas?

If you trace the stems with the two different types of fruit to their base and into the ground, I think you will find that you actually have two different plants growing so closely side by side that it appears to be a single plant.

the finger tomatoes are past tomatoes, possibley Opalka, San Marazon or some other variety. One of the pros here can tell you more about it than I can.

yes you are right there are 2 plants there

never know for sure what you are going to get! I saved a lot of seeds from CHOPTAG taste fest last year, and my compost pile wasnt hot enough. Ive got tomato volunteers all over the place, and some are cherry size rounded (jellybean kinda) tomatoes.

who knows. it could be a hybrid or an F2 (its parent was a hybrid)- lets see them when they mature!
