Default Best valentines present ever!

I know it is not yet Valentines day but I got my present early. I was worried when my hsband came in bleeding. He said my present cut him. I was confused but looked at the wound. Deep cut but don't think he needs stitches. I asked how he managed to cut his hand. He said he needed help and went outside. He opened his truck tailgate and there right in front of me was an entire roll of Concrete reinforcing wire! He said he thought I would like it more than flowers. I very much agreed with him. He is up on his tetnus shot. Now to explain how to make the cages :-). Any other non traditional valentine gifts out there?

Worst excuse for NOT buying one:

"I spent all afternoon in the 99¢ store, and couldn't find anything I thought you'd like."

Great present! I totally agree on getting useful garden stuff. Don't think I've ever gotten any on Valentines Day, since it's still three feet of snow up here that time of year, but once I got 10 huge bags of potting soil for Mother's Day, and both my big wheeled garden cart, and large wheelbarrow have been birthday presents. The women at work were horrified when I told them I received a wheelbarrow for my birthday. Of course they also thought I was nuts when I said I'd rather sit in the dirt and weed my garden in the evenings than go out partying.

I once got a BOB from DH for my birthday. for those that don't know what a BOB is...it is a body opponent bag. Looks like the torso of a man. I get stressed out crank up my mp3 and beat the living daylights out of it. THat is when it is not beating me LOL

One year I got a basket full of seeds, a hand trowel, a rolling garden stool, garden knee pads, and a tree trimming pole for valentines day. He knows I'd rather have flower seeds than flowers that will be dead in a week. And he has bought me dormant rose bushes instead of cut roses too. Good Hubby!

WOW Kat - now that is a great present! I ask for and received a Hav-A-Heart squirrel trap for Christmas - and received one. Boy did I get stares at work. Was the best gift ever. But a roll CRW would be right up there. Piegirl
