Which would you plant?
I have read so many good things about all three of these varieties. If you had to choose ONE, which would it be? Thanks!

Guess it would help if I listed the 3 varieties! Sun Gold, Sun Sugar, or Dr. CArolyn's!

Three very different cherry varieties. I've grown Sungold F1 and Dr. Carolyn, both many times, and I guess I'd grow Sungold F1 if I wanted an orange cherry at maturity that's prolific and very tasty and Dr. Carolyn if I wanted a prolific so called white cherry,no white anything is white, with darn good taste with genes that came from the variety Galina's Yellow.

I'd grow Dr. Carolyn's if I wanted to save seeds, because the other 2 are hybrids. But I'd also grow it because I still haven't grown that one!
I prefer SunSugar F1 to Sungold F1 because in my garden the flavor holds up better. Both are prolific and are worth growing at least once to see which you prefer. For me, Sungold F1 gets a sort of off taste as the season progresses (or maybe I just get tired of the intensity) and I noticed that it split more in a neighbor's garden where it was on drip irrigation. But I love every last SunSugar F1. |

Just to show you that it varies according to taste buds, location, etc., I grew Sungold and Sunsugar side by side and prefered Sungold by a wide margin. Haven't grown Dr. Carolyn's yet.

Once you grow them, you'll probably not want to be without them again. Sungold is the one tomato, so far, that I couldn't do without. It's that wonderful.

my vote goes to Sunsugar, fan here for many years now. been looking for an OP with similar taste, and reliably excellent even in a less optimal growing season. having doubts now that i'll ever find a Sunsugar taste in a medium or larger tomato.
