looking for a white cherry and white beefsteak any recomendations
Hi Everyone, To round out my 2011 color pallette I am looking for a white cherry and a white beefsteak.....8-12 oz would be just fine. I am looking for something really pretty. Something that can take first place at a state fair and not worry about taste. Any recommendations.

For a white cherry I like Snow White, I grew it one year and the taste was great! Never grown a white beefsteak allthough I got some seeds as a gift when I purchased some seed from Glenn at Sandhill, dont think I'll ever grow them but if you want them you could have em. I think I have some Snow White seeds too.

I was very impressed with Fantome Du Laos last year. It produced a lot of tomatoes, and I thought they tasted good, very fruity. I loved them in salad. I've grown Rose Beauty(it is white. The Rose refers to the family name.) before and it was ok for me, not a lot of tomatoes, but my girlfriend just loved them so you never know what you might like.
For cherries, I've only grown Snow White so I can't compare to others. It is well loved by many gardeners. Remy

The only large white beefsteak that I think has decent taste is White Queen.
As for a white cherry there are the whole series bred by Joe Bratka which include Snow White, Rabbit, Ghost and I forget the other one, then there's Mirabelle Blanche, and if you want to live on the wild side there's also the variety Dr. Carolyn, which has some of the taste genes from Galina's, and thats good. No white variety is actually white, the color ranges from ivory to a pale yellow to a deeper yellow depending on the specific variety, the amount of foliage cover and the degree of UV. In the past I've grown a lot of whites and one that's been the whitest for me is White Queen, and it just turns out to have the best taste of the ones that I've grown as well.
