Default First Dwarf Project releases now available!

This is a very exciting day for those of us who have been working on the Dwarf project - Victory Seeds has the first three new releases available!

Dwarf Beryl Beauty - http://www.victoryseeds.com/tomato_d...yl-beauty.html

Dwarf Emerald Giant - http://www.victoryseeds.com/tomato_d...ald-giant.html

and Dwarf Mr. Snow - http://www.victoryseeds.com/tomato_dwarf-mr-snow.html

Mike has quite a bit of the information up that I sent to him - there is a Word doc that has the project history and background that isn't there yet (which discussed the support of Mischka/Tomatoville as a significant enabling piece of the puzzle).

Also - some of you involved in the project will recognize these pictures I am sure - please email or PM me so that I can attribute the pics appropriately - I will send Mike the information and he can update his web site with the credits.

One more thing - if anyone in the dwarf project has ideas on needed additions/corrections to any of the blurbs, PM me and I will collate them to send to Mike. I am sure that there are some things I either forgot or spelled wrong or could be worded better.

That is fantastic Craig!

Congratulations to all involved in this project.

It has/is a mammoth task.

Me thinks this will deserve a special bottle

Heigh-Ho!

This is great news. But since I missed only one year (last year) ordering from Victory Seeds since 2005, they discontinued sending me a print catalog. I'll check their online listings.

Actually, for all four companies (Victory is first - I am hoping for the other three to join soon - total of 9 varieties) these will not be in print catalogs, but on line offerings only. I will update this thread as each of the companies goes on line with their offerings.

Just so people know, they are the three from Victory, plus:

Dwarf Jade Beauty, Summertime Green, Summertime Gold, Rosella Purple, Tasmanian Chocolate, and Dwarf Wild Fred.

We in the project are hard at work for the next set - and next year will hopefully see Dwarf Kelly Green, Dwarf Sweet Sue, Summer Sunrise, Rosella Crimson, and Sweet Adelaide joining them....all depending upon what we find this summer!

Congratulations are definitely in order for all. The babies are taking their first steps.

Kinda like Mr. Spock said in the first Star Trek movie, "We have witnessed a birth."

Congradulations to all involved in this. Tomatos will be available to grow for many more people in confined spaces. I will definately be looking for a few next season. Way to go Dwarf growing team!

What an emotional buzz to get to this stage Craig! So many things going through my mind - we could never have managed this without our volunteers, and I feel that ALL of them share a part in this first lot of releases (and future ones) simply by being involved..... what an amazing thing.

And time to remember Mischka's generosity here for our project home in Tomatoville!

Thanks everyone!

Absolutely, Patrina! Big time shout out to Mischka...the best designed, best run place to immerse ourselves into our various tomato obsessions!

And you've got mail, Patrina - I am in the process of pulling together the list of everyone who has ever been involved- which will go on the Dwarf page of my website, which Mike will link into the descriptions. By the way, we are up to 132 past and current participants! 35 states, over 8 countries!

so much to do!

By the way - this is a web page I did to give the project overview (the link to this will hopefully be in each of the seed company websites offering seeds)

http://nctomatoman.weebly.com/dwarf-...formation.html

Scroll to the end - this is the 150 people/organizations involved as of a few days ago (and more and more people want to join...so this list will likely grow!). All of you Tomatovillians involved should see your names there...if there are any omissions or misspellings or other errors, let me know!
