Default Black Krim?

Most of the information I've located about the Black Krim variety claims it to be a plant of medium stature in the 4'to 6' range. I planted two purchased Black Krim seedlings to replace my seedlings which got frost bit this spring. The plants are already almost four feet tall and outpacing my Brandywine varieties which are usually the largest plants in my garden. If they are also heat resistant as reported my many and continue their growth through the heat of summer, they may exceed 10' in height. In your experience, is the Black Krim a medium height plant?

I don't think mine hit 10', but they were a healthy 8' in the cold summer of 2009. Definitely not 4-6' for me.

Nope, the Black Krim I grew got pretty big. One lasted to January and was huge.

Its not uncommon for many of the indeterminate varieties to go past 10 feet if they are in good health and have good growing conditions.

That's the reason I'm still interested in the terrace idea.

I will have two different levels to work from.

I grew it last year and it grew over my 6' tie up rig.

Here in the Great State of Texas I had one grow so tall I had to call the utility company out to pick the fruit with a big boom truck.

They did it on the halves.

Okay, I guess I messed up. I planted the Black Krim on my six foot trellis instead of my ten foot trellis. It should top the six foot trellis next week and then continue growing all summer. Do you happen to remember the phone number for the utility company? I may need their bucket truck to harvest the Black Krims.

Yes, I am growing Black Cherry also, but I was smart enough to plant them on the ten foot trellis and I just happen to have a ten foot ladder.

I'm sure they will, mine have been outside in my homemade greenhouse for almost a month now but I am in the great Pacific Northwest... whereabouts are you at?

I started with about 10-12 Black Krim seeds and now only have 2 plants. They seem real finicky. I hope its not a forewarning that they might have issues when planted.
