And I Can assure you that I've seen funnier threads at GW in my time, but that one isn't bad.

Where in the Northeast are you?

And your user name sounds familiar to me, or maybe not. Do we know each other from some other place in the past?

Good thread! It can also be embarrassing to be a tomato addict. The wife and I attended our church last Sunday. Our pastor (who is also a gardener) asked how my garden is doing and I told him. During his sermon, he was discussing the value and virtues of honesty. He then said "that rascal Ted lied to me this morning when he told me his tomato plants are already six feet tall". I wasn't telling a lie, but it was funny.

Carolyn,

You, my dear are the one and only inspiration that drove me down this wild, crazy, incredible path .

Your book, your recommendations, your seeds, and your humor have given me the best hobby ever as a tomato addict. Thank you so much !

FYI, am down south on the Jersey Shore.....and you knew me as (the original) JERSEY JOHN !!!

The infection you started has driven me to a collection of about 1,200 varieties, with lots of different ones tried each year.......not professionally, usually one of each for fun. Thanks to your personal method revealed to keep seeds OK for long periods.....most of mine are kept room temp in glass VILES !

Any-who......hope you're doing well on recovery. Thanks again for getting the HORRIBLE addiction started. LOVIN' it !!!!!!!!!!

p.s. and of course your friend Craig 's ideas have been helpful as well !
