Blackberries and Blueberries next to Tomatos in the Tropics???

Anyone tried growing Blackberries and Blueberries in tropical zones? I will attempt to germinate some this year by the equator as my seeds are finally properly stratisfied and I'll keep posting if I am the first but if someone has experience here sure would like to hear from you!
