Can you tell me what this brown is on my Tomato stems?

looks kinda like Didymella stem rot . but i am just a rookie admitingly so . Maybe someone with more experience will chime in .

It is hard to see but in the first photo it looks like there may be concentric rings inthe brown area. If so that could narrow it down some.
