Default German PINK strawberry !?

OK, OK .. I have the BIZZARO garden this year!

Heart shaped Lucky cross, Pear shaped Opalka, and now...... PINK German red strawberry!

And a dose of early blight that could kill KUDZU!!
I'll post pictures tonight of the pink oxheart!

Don, what was your seed source for German Red Strawberry?

How many plants do you have out and of them, how many are red fruited and how many pink?

Here is a comparison.
The big beef is still a bit "orange", but I wanted a red reference tomato.
Carolyn, my source was a local grower. All fruits have been pink so far (4)
I only have one plant.

My source for seed was Morgan County Seed for GRS since my seed was no good. I'm not sure their source.

Opalka was the seed you - Don -sent me. There were 2 sources, but I don't remeber who they were from. I have a ton of GRS plants out there, but no ripe stuff yet.

Still confused on the Lucky Cross - mine all look right so far. I wonder if I gave you my Lucky Cross Heart Shaped by mistake - I sure can't find that plant in the field.

Well if nothing else your garden should be interesting! And how is the flavor of the Pink GRS?

Robbins

I'm not complaining, it's interesting to see what pops up next.
99% of my garden is almost fried by blight right now anyway.
Too many distractions this year.

maybe next year will be better.

Default BIZZARO garden, GPS

Don,
Must be the water they are drinking in KC!!!
How about getting the "mater vodoo gods" to muster up a PL variant of GPS for us "oddballs" in sw NM.

Regards, Spud

Don, I sent you a GRSB too. Could it be that one, that's giving you the pink ones? I got my seeds from Heirloom Seeds. I have 5 GRSB plants in my garden, but no ripe ones yet..... they do all appear to be heart shaped though.
