Default Cherokee Paste???

So I've had lots of experience with Cherokee Purple being promiscuous. About 3 years ago one of my plants produced huge fruit with typical Cherokee Purple coloring but definitely not the right fruit size. This year one of the 4 Cherokee Purple I am growing is producing distinctively oval fruit with typical Cherokee Purple coloring. Not that I mind, with that parentage, the tomatoes are almost always outstanding.

<smile> you may have a new black paste tomato. With how they taste, should be a red sauce treat.

Well, i might be interested in those Cherokee paste seeds. I love CP and it loves AZ but it's a little too juicy, with a lot of core, creating a great deal of waste for canning.
I don't care if it breeds true, I'm not picky. Part of the fun in gardening and breeding things!

What happened to the "huge fruit" CP? I like huge fruit.

CP paste also sounds good. Let me know if you want any help growing it out next year.
