Rain Damage potatos in straw
My Kennubec potatoes which i am growing in straw were dropped with rain yesterday. i just put some hay more around them on then put the plants up.Used they me OK now?

Its OK if they flop over. Like a sprawled tomato plant they put up suckers to fill in the gaps and gather more sunlight for better tuber production.

Mine have been flopping all on their own, now that they are super tall. In fact, I had to move plants out of the way to make room for the flopping. I hope that they are making potatoes under there.

If they're tall enough to flop on their own, you can be sure they're making potatoes. Digging potatoes is like a treasure hunt...so much fun!
