My first Sungold?
This may be silly to some.......My brother will be in town today (Thursday) from NJ. Steve has helped me out with my bills more than I can say here. I have a "1" ripe Sungold tomato at only 35 days from plant out. I realize that it is only a very small thing to most. It is my very first tomato of the season in 2011. Would it be stupid to offer him this small tomato just for fun? Steve is my only blood family alive today @ 54 years old. Would this be just too silly to mention?

I think it would be a nice gesture. Don't know how Steve feels about tomatoes, but I personally would be greatly honored to be offered a "first of the season."

You are thinking right! The "first of the season" is sort of like a "first born" child! Go for it! Dick

The first ripe tomato of each season is an honor!
