Curling leaves and something snacking on my tomato
As far as curling leaves go I'm still trying to determine what could be the cause. I feel like it is a deficiency rather than any kind of virus. I'm most concerned with the Black from Tula plant. It's producing well and looks healthy other than the leaf curl. I'm not sure if thats just how this plant is supposed to look.
Also any idea what would be eating this tomato? Its a perfectly round hole. |

A lot of people experience Physiological leaf roll, it's not a problem, it's not a disease or deficiency. A couple of my Black Krim plants had it, but they outgrew it and the foliage is now normal.

As for the hole in the tomato, I would think that Hawaii has unique
pests. Maybe a local gardening forum somewhere?

That looks very much like the holes on mine that are near the ground. In my garden it is slugs. Do you have slugs or snails there? I know they like wet humid conditions like yours.

Nope. They will totally destroy fruit that is near the ground in my garden. It is the main reason I started staking and training my plants. When I let them sprawl the slugs would eat about half of my harvest.
