Default Hall of Shame

I confess ... I have one Tumbler and one Early Girl growing in my greenhouse. What are you least proud to be growing?

I have 2 confessions:
1) My brother owns a greenhouse and gave my mother some seeds of Parks Whopper. Don't know if it is the original or improved but it is growing in row A, and setting fruit pretty well too.
2) I started very few cherries and sold or gave them all away except for a lone Borgo Cellano. Therefore I bought a Sunsugar plant. I tried Sungold last year and wasn't impressed so figured I would try this one.

Sherry-Tumbler comes in a hybrid and also an op version-I have never grown the hybrid, not cause I wouldnt, just havent got seed, but the op version is very good-you can grow it in a hanging basket and it produces lots of nice-sized cherries that are very good. I grow it in winter here in the desert southwest and it does fine for me in the greenhouse.

Michael -- I did not know that there is an OP Tumbler. I don't know which I have. In past years I've purchased Tumbler seed from TGS. This year I got it elsewhere, but I'll have to look and see where. Maybe I'm not as ashamed as I first thought!

John -- You have nothing, nothing at all to confess to us??? Come on now. We're waiting...

Mr. Stripey....gasp! ...and out of the 72 plants that I grew from seed, I actually purchased this one because I gave one too many plants away before going up to our cabin.

Cherokee Purple...I can hear the GASPS now <LOL>

I had started seeds from the Farmers Market CP last year and was looking forward to them very much. I grew out a whole bunch of course I gave away all but the one I transplanted May 4th.

The Cherokee Purple I am growing now is a seedling from a nursery

I pushed Zogola to my 2006 list last spring. This year I started about eight of them. Figured I'd pick one and give away the rest.
Zogola is not in my garden. Guess I didn't do a good job of separating the plants that were for me from the ones up for grab. To add to my shame, every time I go down the street, I see a garden that I know has two of my Zogola plants.

For a few weeks the person had a sign up that read, "I'm growing Zogola and Reign isn't". I stole the sign.

Now ... as to embarassments ... I have two Abraham Lincoln Hybrids from Totally Tomatoes out in my seed garden ... and ... gasp ... a Goose Creek

I left all my heirloom seedlings on my screened in porch - been outside since mid-March, then, April 28 or 29, bam, hard frost. I know, I know, reported myself to Tomato Protective Services, so ashamed!! Still hanging my head in shame. But that very night I opened my email and PaulF said, hey need any seedlings???? He was kind enough to rescue me. Had to purchase some plants at the local farmers market. Piegirl
