Todays harvest
Here's one of 3 different tomato gardens we have.
This one is planted with Lemon Boy. Maybe the best canning tomato we have ever grown! Oh, they're good fresh as well. The other 2 that were planted with red varieties have all but quit producing while this one is just reaching it's peak. Odd thing is it was only planted 2 weeks later than the others. Only thing different is this one was shaded from that scorching evening sun we had so much of this summer here in VA. Square posts in pics are about 5 ft tall to give you an idea of plant height. We did get some Bacterial Spot on these tomatoes whereas our reds did not. |

How did you choose Lemon Boy for the single tomato variety for one garden?
I notice you have some mosquito incubators on that shed in the second photo.

We plant Lemonboy in a small quantity so this garden suits as we only put 30 plants in it.
We have 2 other gardens with 100 plants each in other varieties Yes, the tires help hold the roof down! |
