Wow...where to start? Natural Greens, artificial greens, natural or gilded cones, natural or gilded seed pods and nuts, dried or fresh flowers (in tubes or oasis base wreath), toys, ornaments, mini or full-size instruments, balls, angels, cookie cutters, mirrors, battery operated lights, heavy brass wire (I've made some that are a base wreath of just wire - think like some free form vine wreaths except made with heavy brass wire), wood cut outs, whatever basically catches my eye.

A number of years ago, I co-headed the wreaths, swags, crafts, etc. making team that made hundreds for sale by one of the hospital auxilaries at their Fesitival of Trees and Lights. Did that for about 3 years, before handing off.

I've made garlands from all sorts of things. Some of them using real/natural materials, some fakes.

Haven't made any in quite awhile...but saw some stuff the other day that got my mind working on some creative ideas. Not sure I'll do anything before Christmas, but who knows? Depends upon time, I guess.

Do you make your own too, and if so, with what, and what kinds?

Hey Zana..well nice to meet another wreath maker!

The materials to make the wreath...
We mainly use Balsam fir up here a nice Christmas tree smell...adding white pine or cedar for a mix.
What types of natural greens do you use?
It's fun to be creative...I do snowflakes, candy canes, christmas tees, stars, hearts...these are all the shapes of the wreaths
as well as the traditional 12" up to 48"
Below is an example of a 36" Peace wreath...cool huh?
That went for $75!
Oh and then the garland!...foot after foot....

The decorations are endless...sounds like you have fun too
Do you decorate around your own house as well?
