Those of you that have grown it, what was your experience with this variety.
I noticed that Fusion said the variety was variable in production, climate dependant.

I grew Nepal one year, 2009. It had a rough time with the plant being uprooted by a very strong windstorm in July, and then replanted. The poor thing survived and continued to grow and produce.

Nepal gave 94 tomatoes that averaged 3.5 ounces (median size 4ounces) with the largest fruit at 9 ounces. With the uprooting situation Nepal was 90 days plant to fruit. I made no notes as to flavor and gave most of the tomatoes to a local restaurant because they liked the size and color.

I have tried growing it for two years with several plantings and have yet to get one to live long enough to make any fruit. I am giving it another try this spring and again in the fall. It seems to be highly susceptible to fusarium. The only reason this one is getting that many attempts is because of the many reviews saying how good it tastes.

I planted them last year and they did ok for me,but not great . Last year was a crazy growing season for me so I am not ready to give up on it. I ordered my seeds from Johnny's seed company, which was the first company I believe to offered them retail. There are a few people around who think that the Nepal seeds offered by them now aren't as big and tasty as the original strain. I would like to find some seeds from the original stain that nctomatoman has and grow them and try to compare with the one's I got from Johnny's and see if there is any big difference.

As everyone who grows tomatoes knows ,one year a variety will be great for you and then the next year it can be terrible. I will be planting Nepal this year with seeds saved from last season and maybe it will do better.
