Default Peat moss, soil sulpher sources?

I've been having trouble finding sources for peat and soil sulpher. The box stores are selling very small bags of peat moss already fertilized with miracle-gro, I can't seem to find the plain old big bales of peat anywhere.
I'm also looking for soil sulpher, which I can only find at the highest priced nursery in our area.
Any suggestions, maybe an online source? I know shipping might be high but seems shipping might be less than nursery prices.

I know in Walmart and Target they just have the little bags but Home Depot and places like that usually have 2.2 - 3 cubic foot bales of peat moss outside in the garden section with bagged soils, have you checked there? I just bought 8 bales to fluff up the soil in a new garden bed. (of course it picked last night to start raining, so now I have to wait for things to dry out again)

It's out of stock at the moment but ozbo.com has 4 pounds of Micronized Sulfur for 8.26 if they're still running their 4.95 shipping and 5% Home5Off coupon code it might be worth calling them to see when they'll have it available again.

Thanks, Marktutt! I just noticed online that Ace Hardware advertises a large bag of peat. I might see if my local store can order some for me. My local HD is only carrying the 1.5 cf bag of pre-fertilized, nonorganic Miracle Gro peat moss.

Tracy, the Lowes here in town carries a 20lb bag of Arizona's Best soil sulfur for 20 bucks, I can bring a bag up if I meet you next week to get plants, when I come up to pick up my cousin from the airport on the 8th.
Also Crop Production Services has a bale of peat for 28 bucks.

Hydroponics stores might have a number of different options for peat and other things that you might also consider like coir. They're all over the place in the valley.

I managed to track down soil sulfur last spring at HD. I used it for my blueberries, but apparently it is also used for azaleas and hydrangeas. I haven't seen it since.

Thanks, Desertizbn. PM me so we can make more definite plans. Sounds perfect. I also need to know which plants you want and how many. I sold about 25, I'm going to plant another 15 and I want to save yours for you.

Good point, although I assume the price might be pretty high at a hydroponics store?
I'm just adding peat to my raised beds as a soil conditioner and to lower pH. Also, need it for my callas and other flowers.
I have really heavy clay and high salts.

I can get 3.8 cu ft bales of peat for about $15 here at a couple of farm supply stores (feed stores). Maybe you can find one in a rural area nearby?

Johno made the point I wanted to: somewhere is a feed-farm store with these kinds of agricultural product.

Neither HD or Lowes we're carrying the peat bales here, until about a month ago, and now they have them again. It must be seasonal.

Do you have a Rural King nearby? They sell the 4cubic foot of Canadian peat moss for 11.99 each. I just bought some yesterday for planting blueberries. Rural King also sells online, if you want to go that route. Good luck!

I went to 4 stores this weekend looking for the peat in bales. Everyone is selling the MG peat moss instead. My soil is mostly DG and sand. We also have very high winds, so I need anything to keep moister in the soil.
