What causes "noses"?
I have a couple of tomatoes with little pointed protruberances, sort of like a nose. I know I've seen others post pictures and comments on GW, but I can't remember what causes this. One has an even smaller little twisty thingy...probably easiest to just put a couple pictures up...

That must be it! It is the perfect little twirling moustache, in an old timey silent film way!
Thanks for the pictures - those are fascinating! I have enough of a problem remembering how to work the macro mode on my camera to get a closeup -- I can't even imaging trying to get something like that! I think without the pics I would completely not have understood, so really appreciate them. I'll be asking about bellybuttons one of these days as well... My Black from Tula has innies and outies on the same plant, and almost none of the others have bellybuttons at all. I'll probably need photos for that too... |

Lord-eee! Those babes look like some wacked out tomatoes I've seen posted lately ... like that one "human face" tomato earlier in the week. Are they the result of multiple fused blossoms you think?
And Earl, Earl, Earl ... what are you thinkin'? All that gold is just gonna weigh you down at the swimmin' hole and may cause you to drown. BTW, I must now agree that the spice rub you apply to yer pulled pork apparently DOES put hair on yer chest. Thank the Lord those girls didn't eat any, huh? PV |

Now I know for sure I'll never post a photo with me in it on the internet. Look what can happen. Poor Earl, at first glance I thought it was real.

That Earl photo is just good, flat out good. I wondered about the hat though, in that swimsuit, I think the hat isn;t quite right.
