first of the season
First of the season, well maybe second I did eat a black cherry earlier. Does this Cherokee purple look ripe? Its more pink than red and has a green shoulder. It gives to pressure on the bottom so I figured it could be picked. Kinda expected a deeper red though.

Looks good! I usually let mine get a little darker than that before I pull them but I usually don't have birds / animals that mess with my ripe tomatoes. Some people have to pull them as soon as they start to shange colors or they get scavanged! The green shoulders are normal for Cherokee Purple! Congrats - let us know how you like the taste!

the CP was very good. I posted some more pics of tomatoes I've harvested recently on my thread of photos in the containers section if you haven't seen em take a look. Most of my tomatoes have been a paler color than I expected this year and Im not sure why.
