Can you ID this moth?
Forgot we took this pic last year of a rather large moth sunbathing on a marigold. What is this?

Looks like some type of horn-worm moth. not all horn-worm type moths eat tomatoes.
Here is a picture of a Horn worm that eats only the Cissus Trifoliata vine. It loses it horn at maturity. I took this picture back in 2006 and found it on Google Worth |

I'd say hummingbird moth as well. I had them here for the first time a few years ago.

So these clear-winged hummingbird moths don't have the kind of hornworms that eat maters? I'm asking because these marigolds were right in front of my toms last year. There is a honeysuckle close by so it probably liked that too.

The images are in different places. The marigolds are here
http://www.tomatoville.com/attachmen...7&d=1336968647 and the Horn worm is here. http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b1...1/07170004.jpg So either your work computer has photobucket blocked or it has external links blocked. I suspect the latter as a security measure. |

There I fixed it I think.
I haven't been on photobucket for many years I hate the place like I do any other photo sharing site. Too many pop ups and too much junk mail. Here it is again I hope, this one is linked to my computer. Attachment 23915 Last edited by Worth1; November 17, 2012 at 06:42 PM. |
