Default Verticle splits on tomato stalks..what is this?

I just snapped some photos to put on and see what it is?
Looks like "splitting" vertically on the stalks.
These tomatoes are Cherokee Purple and Paul Robeson.

A few of mine have this. It never worried me and the plants don't seem to notice.

I have had a few plants do it and I only notice it happening after a rain. I was thinking they may have absorbed too much water and split their stalks. They have been pretty shallow so far and not on the main stalk. My plants don't seem to be bothered by it, cross my fingers.
