Sounds like a good plot for a story.

I would call it The Seed.

I would start out with an old wrinkled woman handing over the last tomato seed from her death bed.
It would be folded up in a piece of paper to a small child.
This small child would have to find a peacfull place to sprout and grow this last tomato plant in a post apocalyptic world.

Along the way the child would be taken in by a group of kindly people.

In some unseen manner the seed would get wet and sprout in rout.

Now we have a tomato plant to carry around in a pot and take care of.

Now we all know this seed represents mankinds last chance to make things right on earth and once and for all bannish evil.

It needs work and I have an idea.
