Most Productive 2012..

HAS to be my Golden Cherokee! Plant just keeps on putting them out!

Big, full, healthy plant, with pickings every other day! Big ones passed but now it's 6 oz, 7 oz, 5 oz....

Slowing down now of course but VERY impressed with it. Saving seed from this plant for sure!

Loved the flavor, and really pretty too!

Have to check my source and thank them!! lol

can you think of any tomato it tastes kind of similar to? I am trying to imagine what it might taste like.

We've had less than two inches of rain since May and the temp has been above one hundred, like, forever. My Brandywine (Sudduth), Earl's Faux, and Cowlicks are pumping out the tomatoes. I have them heavily mulched (newspaper and straw) and have not watered them. Though production has been good, the plants are about half their normal size.

It is somewhat similar to Hughs, and Yoders German Yellow, but distinctly different at the same time.

If you are asking, my most productive plants seem to be Mule Team, Legend, Black Sea Man, Earl's Faux and Big Zac, Ignegoli Gigante Liscio and Pantano Romanesco. My Cherokee Purple had a lot of BER and only a couple of fruits so far, so it's been a bit disappointing for me.

Bush Big Boy by far, but crop will be way down. Probably 15 per plant. Maybe!
What are you guys considering productive this year? 10 per plant, 20? 30?

Brandywine Cowlick's. What a tomato!!!! If you haven't tried it, you got to. Got my seeds from Carol Knapp. As long as I am able to crawl to the garden, I will plant Brandywine Cowlick's. If the kids want an inheritance, they will have to plant Brandywine Cowlick's for me after I can't crawl out to the garden.

Oh yes I forgot about pink honey. I have a lot of those, they're big hearts with a mild flavor, like MikeInOhio said. Very productive.

I forget why exactly, but I added the 1958 last year; when something quit working right. For some reason it fixed it.

For me it is by far Tarter Of Mongolistan.
The fruit is small to medium sized when ripe and has a typical acid with a hint of sweet flavor to them.

The plants have only reached four feet in height and have produced copious amounts of tomatoes.

It's hard to pull one in particular out, but the one that has impressed me the most is Greenbush Italian that I got from fortyonenorth. It's a large heart variety that has great flavor and is my current lead contender for my sauce planting next year.
