Any ideas as to what is going on with my tomato leaves? There are tiny spots or specks that look silvery or metalic in the sun forming on a lot of the leaves. The leaves that are affected look like they have been peppered. I don't see any insects on the plants. I see no aphids. It just started about 2 weeks ago and seems to be scattered on all of my 8 plants. They are Beefsteak, Rutgers and Big Beef. It is not only appearing on some lower leaves but in the middle and at the top as well. I do spray with Daconil and during the Spring sprayed with Bonide Eight as I had a lot of aphids. I looked at several of the diagnostic websites but didn't see anything that looked similiar. I did take pictures but I have no idea how to post them. Any help would be appreciated.

Without a picture, it sure is hard to try and make a diagnosis. Frankly, even with a picture, it can be difficult.
In order to post pictures, they have to be hosted first. Free hosting sites would include-- http://photobucket.com/ http://www.imageshack.us/ (I personally prefer imageshack) Then, this topic explains how to post the hosted photos-- http://tomatoville.com/viewtopic.php?t=444 If done correctly, "You should see the actual image show up in your post when you preview it." From what you've described, you might want to have a look at images of septoria leaf spot or bacterial spot as possibilities. A Google Images search can be helpful in that it will show you several different pictures and not just one or two like the TAMU problem solver and other links might. |

Thanks Suze, Looks like it could be septoria leaf spot. I've been spraying Daconil with no effect on it. I guess I'll have to try copper? What do you think?
