Default Let The Cracking Begin!

Just over two inches of rain fell yesterday, over an inch this afternoon, and more coming down tonight! My tomato plants are loaded with green fruit, and as of this morning a couple of Terhune were already starting to crack. Waiting to see how many more will start cracking over the next few days.

yeah that's what i was thinking when i looked at the bucket on the deck. at 1 pm it had maybe 1/2" of rain in it but by 5 pm it had easily 3", i haven't measured it yet. i'm heading for the sun gold plant about 9 am! for the others i'm concerned about ber. i haven't watered the tomatoes in about 18 days so the small showers and this rain may not be a problem. usually ber isn't for me but i have gotten it.

had some cracking on my beefstead verieties with all this heavy rain and the septoria is coming on faster also. been picking some very nice tomatoes too. hate seeing that stuff kill the plants. gonna try too keep up with it. the humid weather seems too make it happen overnite.
