is this possible
I'm praticing growing seedlings before the season starts next spring. I new to this. I put some promix out of a bail i had and crumbled it up and sprouted some tomato seeds in it. They came up today and i put them under lights. Before i did this i used a spray bottle to moisten them and i saw what looked like a flea beetle come out of the promix when i moistened it. How could a flea beetle get in the promix that is in my garage? Has this ever happened to any of you.?

I don't know Augie, I did have tons of them in the house last winter from my indoor tomato project, and they had to come from somewhere. I always thought they only liked moist mixes though. Maybe there was just enough moisture in that bag for a flea beetle to hide? I did use Promix too indoors.
Unless the flea beetle came from someplace else and just happened to pop up when you sprayed the soil and disturbed it. hmmm...possible. Those buggers are really annoying aren't they?
