Tomato leaf turning purple

Hi, I know I saw this somewhere but I just noticed on my Japanese blk trifele purple on the outer edges and some purple on the leaves. It's still producing fruit and looks healthy. What to do?

You're starting with phosphorus deficiency. Time to nip it in the bud before plant vigour hits river bottom, and the fruits end up being rather sour instead of sweet. Try 10-52-10 or something with a high middle number - the new leaves should be a nice healthy green within a week.

When dealing with deficiencies and the likes I think best way is to use foliar spray. Very often the deficiency is caused by a problem with absorbing the nutrients from soil due to bad pH, other excess minerals, etc. Using foliar you bypass the soil, and the effects are much faster.

Okay zipcode, thanks, I'm off to the gardening store today to get something. So far it's the only plant that shows signs. I have been really careful about fertilizing, but who knows? It's been an very hot summer...
