2012 Better than expected in June
After a cool/wet beginning in late June the weather made a positive and long improvement with plenty of sunshine. I have plenty of ripe Tomatoes with more on the way. Thanks to Tomatovillian, JoeP, who sent me 4 seeds for Alices Egypt. This Tomato was a a big surprise. It was very productive, disease free with a wonderful taste. The Mrs shares our Tomatoes with neighbors but not the Alices Egypt. It's a new favorite behind Stump of the World and Pale Perfect Purple. Brandywine(RL & Pl} both did very well in productivity and taste. Big Zac and Black Plum though productive they did not pass the taste test in my household and won't be shared as my Oriental Mrs doesnt want to lose face. Marianna's Peace was a total bust as disease got to it early. One other surprise, also from JoeP, was the Yamal tomato. It was an extremely productive small and tasty variety. THANKS JoeP.
