This was in a store dedicated to selling Bibles and religious books? I think it is pretty funny that a gardening book should end up there. Did you ask the owner of the store why he is carrying it?

Yep it was a religious store and I didn't ask but it was on a little 3 shelf stand it had about 15 or so books on it and the shelf had a sign at the top and said (BEST SELLERS) and hers was the very 1rst one there and to top that it was the only one that had to be reordered the rest of the books looked kinda old and some still had 2 or more copies of each left !

Does this mean I should consider converting back to Methodism, the church I was raised in, from my current and tentative position as a born again Druid?

Default Makes Perfect Sense to Me.

Growing heirloom tomatoes is a religion. Fitting place. Did you bump into Mrs Justice by any chance? And do introduce the kids to Carolyn's (tomato) bible. Peace on earth and in the patch.

Ok this a long post! But i had to pick up my sons bible at the bible store and i got to ask the owner why he had some gardening books and so forth? He said that he just bought out the store 3 years ago and brought some of the best sellers from the other book store he had owned before . He said he started selling Carolyns book because he grew heirloom tomatoes and had bought her book and learned alot from it so he decided to get her book on the shelf. He said at first nobody would buy it they just kept asking him about heirloom tomatoes so he decided to do a tomato test with his own toms. so he set up a small table in his store and set out some samples of his tomatoes and people tried them and now he cant keep the book on the shelf! Then he told me he just happened to bring one of his tomatoes to work for lunch it was called Turkey Chomp and he let my wife sample it and my lovely wife told him and everyone else in that store that this mans tomato tasted better than the ones i grew for her !

Now why should this surprise anyone?!
Both the Good Book and Dr. C. provide
words to live by. "Carolyn has been about
preaching the Gospel of Heirlooms for lo
these many years now, much alikened to
a voice crying out in the wilderness".........JJ 6:1

I was pleased to see Carolyn's book at my local library today. They didn't have it last year and I told them about it, and now it is there!

I am proud to report that there were TWO reference copies of Carolyn's book at our MAGTAG tomato fest this weekend - mine and gflynn's. I saw several people paging through them while tasting the more than 80 varieties available for tasting at MAGTAG.
