Default Are Early Large Red and Early Big Red the same?

I made a trade for Early Large Red and wound up with Early Big Red. I have grown Early Large Red, several times. Contrary to its name, it produces medium size, red/orange tomatoes. It is very early, productive and super tasty. Does anyone know if EBR is the same variety? The only commercial source I know of for ELR is in Canada. They say they can't ship to the USA.

I just checked Tania's site and Early Large Red was last listed by Heritage Harvest in 2011, sonolonger a source.

I've never heard of Early Big Red,but I do know of a variety that's called Big Red, which of course interested me b'c it was the mascot for the U I graduated from.

I've grown Early Large Red and IMO it wasn't super tasty, and actually I wasn't that fond of it at all.

Looking in the 2012 SSE YEarbook no one was listing ELR, but Big Red was still there.Who knows what the 2013 Yearbook might bring and I wait for the paper version since I want no part of the online version, both for SSE members only.

I checked Heritage and found them available for sale but not for delivery to the USA. My results were different here but I don't suppose that is a surprise since we have much warmer weather, here. They were very tasty, similar to Earl's Faux, with a nice bite. They were also the earliest in my garden, beating out Clear Pink Early and Gregori's Altai by about 3 weeks. Maybe some kind soul from north of the border has a few. I will try in the trading section, again.
