Plug Trays
I need to order some 50 cell plug trays. Have ordered some from Johnny's in the past and am wondering if anyone has ordered them from Greenhouse Megastore. There is a big difference in price , Johnny's is a 5 pack for around $15 and GH is a 10 pack for approx. same price. I am looking for a sturdy type.
Thanks! |

The only difference would be the thickness of the material used for the tray. Some are more rugged or stronger than others. You will fit them in 1020 trays that will make them stronger and make them able to be moved around. I use the 50 count cells, the 1020 trays, and place them in the daisy trays for added strenght. I've bought these from the Greenhouse Megastore before and they work fine for me.

Well, I guess what I am asking is how sturdy are the Greenhouse Megastore plug trays? The ones I have from Johnny's are sturdy enough to place in 1020 trays; I haven't needed to add additional support from daisy trays.

The plug trays from Greenhouse Megastore will work fine. I've ordered from them before and they will do the job. I use the daisy trays because I do a lot of moving around of my plants before planting. The daisy trays are not neccessary, I use them for extra support while transporting.

Just asking for clarification; did you order propagation trays or plug trays?

I have the plug trays like these. http://www.greenhousemegastore.com/p...-trays-inserts
These are the ones that I've ordered in the past. Hope this helps. DP |

Yea, I might have to resort to using that. I've got this bad habit of planting too many tomatoes and peppers...
