Leaf curl
Hi I'm new here and kinda new to gardening. I have some indigo rose plants with a lot of leaf curl. All my other plants look fine. Here's some pics to help.
That's a sungold next to them that looks great. I'm thinking I might have over watered them when I first started them in pots. Thanks in advance for any help. |

As long as it is on the lower leaves and they don't start getting yellow or brown along the edges I think it is fiine. You didn't say how long ago you planted them, but if you just did it may just be a little transplant shock or could be a symptom of your over watering.
I had an indigo rose that I also overwatered last year. I bought a bunch of new pots and one did not have the drain holes punched out and I didn't check each one well enough. That was the one the indigo rose went into the after about 3 weeks on the drip irrigation I noticed it wasn't really growing like the others and had leave curl. I picked up the pot and it almost sloshed out! Once I punched out the holes and it dried out, it seemed to do fine although it was a few weeks behind its brothers. If I remember correctly, the leaf curl remained on the effected leaves but new ones came in OK. Keep us updated! |

Lets try this again. And the other tomatoes about 2 weeks ago.
The indigos turned purple and curled under light that's why I moved them out first. They didnt get much better tell about 4 days ago. I had them in red solo cups with nice organic potting mix when they were inside. Where I live the dirt is almost perfect beach sand. Could not fertilizing for the first 2 weeks hurt them? I mixed a shove load of compost in when planting, it was from the local dumps as my compost is still brewing. Then 2 weeks after I planted they all still didnt look to good so I gave them all a good amount of chickley doo doo. And all the my tomatoes started taking off but the indigo are still kinda lacking. |

They are not a particularly robust variety based on my experience with them last year and so I am not growing them again this year. Sounds like you are doing things right.

Great thanks for the help.
I work part time on an organic tomato farm that breeds tomatoes as well. We didn't have much luck with these last year ether. We had one plant that was better then the rest by a lot. I loved the coloring and taste so much I just had to try them. I do have a caption lucky plant that is thriving so all is not lost in my amazing color and tasting tomatoes. |

I am also getting leaf curl on my Indigo Rose. This photo is from this afternoon. There's a couple of hidden tomatoes in the bottom behind the curled leaves.

The leaf curl is happening to all 4 of my indigo rose but not one of my other tomatoes, maybe they are just not stable yet.
