Azul Toro Harvest
Here's photos of my Azul Toro harvest for this season.
A couple of Yukon Gold's snuck in the bottom of one basket. Almost 15 pounds total from 5 plants. The two largest are shown on the scale. These were planted out Mar. 11 with the first harvest on June 9, for a 90 day cycle. My favorite way to eat these is grill roasted with dill or rosemary. Yummmmm! Enjoy, Lee

I dug 6 hills of Azul Toro today to see if they are ready. Mine can go another week to get a bit bigger. The 6 hills yielded exactly 12 pounds of spuds.

I probably have over 15' of Azul Toro, growing in two gardens. This one, and Bora Valley, are showing great vigor this year. I'm not ready to dig yet. They're still lush and flowering.

Nice. Purple potatoes frustrate me. I can't see half of them when I dig them up, and half of the half I do pick up are rocks or dirt clods.
