Interesting that there is only one red tomato among the top ten. It was number 10 and a current.

How do you advertise this event? I am always looking for pointers.

Lot's of great looking varieties that you had represented there.
I'm not at all surprised that Carbon and Sungold were in your top two.
KBX only got two "votes", and that is rather unexpected. Perhaps this was one that didn't have the best representation of the variety that day.
I know all too well about that!

Next year, be sure someone brings Cuostralee. That way, you'll have a red in the top 5!

KBX had only one smallish fruit, so no wonder the low votes. We didn't have SOTW or Cuostralee there due to them not being ripe yet this year....I'm sure they would have done well though.

As for promoting it...the base group of attendees are my tomato plant customers. I started this as a free "perk" for them, but it has spread beyond them to the "foodie" community. I don't want the event to get too big, so I promote it very little except to my customer e-mail list and to some foodie Facebook groups I belong to.

To start the whole ordeal of my greenhouse business, I promoted solely through Craigslist and through word of mouth.

As an attendee it was a really great event. Props to our host! It's been a hard summer to grow in KC and tomatoes have been scarce. The chance to taste so many different types of tomatoes in one place will help with my selections next year.
