Tomato impatience is...
...not waiting for the mid-season slicers.
I had a gap of about three days between the very early varieties running dry, and the mid-season slicers ripening. So, I had SunGold as the only available variety to put on a sandwich. If anyone else has tried it, I can see why they haven't written about it. Dr. Lve Apple |

Right now even that bashed SunGold would be welcome
Lots of emerald greenies hanging in my Black Krim plants, but not a hint of pink in them yet. I am hopeful though: they are so deep green that the next stage got to be near! The suspense intensifies... Next year I'll make sure to plant early varieties that will give me something nice to eat while waiting for the big ones. |

Here's a tip, don't even try to cut up small cherry tomatoes and put them IN a sandwich, simply wash them, dry them and put lots of them on the plate with the sandwich. Now take a bite of sandwich and pop a cherry tomato in your mouth. No muss, no fuss. Linda |

I've had Tommy Toe cherry tomatoes halved in a sandwich and would do it again. They have a good balanced flavor.
But then, I seem to be one of the few people who doesn't rave about Sungold. A few from someone else's garden are ok earlier in the season, but I don't grow them myself. |
