I would LOVE some of those pepper seeds, but I've never grown pepper plants from seeds. Hopefully, they come with instructions!
Seriously, I think I need some more experience before you can trust me with seeds. Thank you for the generous offer. I wouldn't want to waste them :/

Nolabelle, it's not hard! Even I can do it. Exact same process as tomato seeds. It can take longer for the seeds to sprout, or so I've heard (my order this year sprouted, superhots to sweet, in about a week).
The farmer I bought my seedlings from in spring said they start their seeds January 1st to be ready to plant out in March. I am finding they grow faster in the heat -- I have some started mid-June that need to go in the ground pretty soon. You should try! Not much season left, but you could put it in a pot and bring it inside over "winter". |

Peach Habanero has such lovely color. And 7 Pot Primo has such an interesting shape! I have Habaneros of 4 different colors, but do not have Peach yet - I would be interested to try it in the future. Tatiana

those are great photos of some beautiful peppers. i would like some of the 7 pot primos and prik kee noo suan when they are ready. pm me your address and i will send you seeds of some large habs and some peppers from costa rica a friend brought back from there. they are large and wrinkled and i have had some hot ones from it. they are growing at this time. sending pm.

Whoops, thought I said this earlier, but guess not. If it's okay, and I get a good crop, I'll send you a PM in the fall about trading? I'm loving that 7 pot and the Prik Kee Noo Suan and the Peach Habanero (is it spicier or sweeter than a regular hab?) and... I like them all! Beautiful work! It's too early for me to know what I'll have to trade though.
nolabelle, it's just August in the Sauna Belt! Nothing looks good out there, which guarantees people will start asking to "see the garden". As far as seeds go, nothing ventured, nothing gained! I will PM you my "recipe". |

tl, I answered your PM and thanks a bunch for the much needed info.
I just remembered that stepson told me he cut all the cayenne peppers off one plant in the yard and stored them in the fridge on the carport. He told me midweek. I told him not to cut the peppers off without telling me because the sooner they are processed, the better they will taste. (There are four plants out there.) I like freshly cut peppers for pickling, but these will go for a puree through the food mill. There was a whole sink full of peppers from that plant. This is the second year for these cayenne plants. I'll have to take a picture of the base trunks; they are about 2 " in diameter. I hardly baby them. They get mostly rain water unless we have a dry spell. I fertilize them with tomato stuff when I fertilize the containers. Maybe I should save some seeds from these peppers. They seem to be very hardy. Tutorial for successfully saving pepper seeds anyone? I'm not a total newbie to gardening, but I've rarely had luck with food crops. Most of my experience is with ornamentals and houseplants. Sigh. I definitely have a way to go.

Really nice peppers roper! I don't have any seeds yet but maybe later on we can do some trading. None of mine are isolated either.
