Incoming Friend Requests
I found this in the Alerts section. I have one (Alert), but I have no idea what it is, or what it does.

If you click on your name you'll see a section which lists friends. I believe you can restrict certain things here to just people on your friends list and moderators. That's the extent of my knowledge.

Incoming Friend Requests
I chalk it up to forum software developers trying to get in on the "social media" craze. Every forum I'm a member of has this feature, but no one seems to use it much. I do know some members on a different forum I follow will use it to "stalk" another member -- they get notified every time their Forum Friend posts something...

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Just as you are able to accept a friendship request from someone and place them on your list of friends, you can also remove them from that list. When someone holds out a hand I usually take it, unless it's holding a weapon.
