Home Depot half price seeds 3/3 to 3/9
Was in Home Depot yesterday, and all their seeds are half price from 3/3/14 to 3/9/14. My local HD carries Ferry Morse, Burpee, Martha Stewart, and some other organic brand I can't remember.

They might also carry Stover Seed packets -- an excellent supplier in my experience.

Hmm haven't seen the Martha Stewart or Stover Seeds. I saw Seeds of Change and it was disappointing how many of the packets were mass market varieties. I was really hoping for unique ones so I don't have to wait for mail order.

While I was there shopping, I asked the person in charge if the seeds were fresh, and she said we just got all new fresh 2014 seed. Martha Stewart may be something new this year.

I was there today and didn't see anything on sale, maybe it's local. Maybe it's best for me as I already have more seeds than I can use for the next couple of years.

How long are seeds in these packets good for? I have some from 2012 that I never planted...maybe I should buy newer seeds.

My local Home Depot outside Detroit had Burpee, Ferry-Morse and Martha Stewart brands. Couldn't find any Seeds of Change items. There was nothing very exotic, but who needs more than a few varieties of beets or cilantro? Heirlooms and organic seed were easy to find. Everything was marked "packed for 2014."
There were no signs anywhere, but I bought a handful of seed packets (no tomatoes) and got a 50% discount at the register. With discount, all packets cost under a dollar apiece. Wes in Zone 6A |
