Default Opinions on which fertilizer

I am deciding between tomato tone and Happy Frog Tomato fertilizer.

TT is what I have used in the past, but wonder if anyone has used the Happy Frog by Fox Farms? Both seem similar, but different NPK values. I would try both, but I only have 6 plants and the cost is not worht it.

Thanks,
Curt

I like fertilizers with an equal amount of NPK or as close as I can get.

What brand I dont know what to say.

I use death blue and death red by MG, or Lady Bug brand liquid concentrate organic or 13-13-13, 16-16-16.

I want to add I know people that use tomato tone and love the stuff and their plants look great.

One thing to consider is this.
If the plants are doing great with what you use why change.
Another is what soil you use fertilizer in.
Plants cant take up urea nitrate in a dead soil.
The soil needs micro organisms to break it down.
At least that is what I have read.

If you are only going to choose between those two, I would pick the Tomato Tone.

Funny cause I have a bag of Happy Frog. I used it in a 30 gall container for my Cherokee Purple and Big Beef and I was happy with the result. I haven't done a side-by-side comparison with TomatoTone though.

The Happy Frog Tomato has too high a nitrogen ratio in my opinion. You'll get better quality fruit and likely more of it with a tomato fertilizer that has a bit more potash than nitrogen in the NPK ratio. This all assumes that the comparison is made with equal dosages of nitrogen.
