Likely physiologic, especially on hearts which tend to be wispy/ curly anyway.

Greg, you're not going to lose a plant to physiological leaf roll.

Ray, thanks for that article. I have rather significant leaf curl on my Joe's Pink Oxheart and a less significant problem with Costoluto Genoveses. They are planted in different areas of the garden, some get max sun, some get partial shade. Of 65 plants, only the 4 Joe's Pink Oxheart and 2 Costoluto Genovese have the problem. I couldn't figure out why these variety are the only one with the problem. After reading the article, I think it is perhaps that these varieties have a high yield. Combine that with the extraordinary hot, dry, windy weather we have had and perhaps a bit too much nitrogen in the soil, I have the perfect storm for leaf curl.

If I get a chance I will post some pics and gssgarden won't feel so bad.

I'm running late in catching up here and there and was going to give a link to Physiological Leaf Roll, only to find out one was already given.

I can't tell you how many times I've used my link at various places and in various threads in the past two weeks. Just did so in a new thread here in this Forum.

It happens.
