I know what you mean it took me years from not planting to early. I finally got it right and plant on the day of the KY. Derby.

I got to taste this variety at Tomatopalooza last summer. It was one of my favs...in fact, it was one of only about 5 varieties that I saved seeds from. I plan to grow it out this summer. I can't say much else about it, except the samples I had were fabulous. Lots of people commented on how delicious they were. I saw others saving seed too.

I would also like to know more about this variety.

Would you say the flavor was on the mild/sweet side or strong/assertive side? Thanks.

Definitely on the strong/assertive side. I never could seem to locate salt at the tasting, and because of that, lots of varieties seemed bland to me (a salt-o-holic)
Tennesee Heirloom stood out in taste even without the salt. It was a very meaty tomato too.
