I'll hopefully be taking Siberian Tigers, Brandywine Sudduth and Golden Jubilees. Maybe a few Arkansas Travelers and Lemon Boys.

Will try to go, have to play it by ear as they say. I am not sure if I will have anything ripe yet. Time will tell.

Default Stephenville Tomato Contest

Here is some information regarding the First Annual Stephenville Tomato Contest. I am Charles May, of the Stephenville Organic Gardening Club. We will be presenting the First Annual Homegrown Tomato Contest on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at the Stephenville City Park. The contest will be open from 9:00 a.m. to noon with the winners announced at 12:15.

As of now, we have a $100 gift card from a grocery store, a $50 gift card from another retail store, and many other prizes to be given out from other sponsors such as Tractor Supply, McCoy's, Barefoot Market, and other local businesses.

There will be several places paid for the largest/heaviest tomato in both the Heirloom and Hybrid categories. Plus, there will be one winner in the 'Ugliest or Most Unusual Tomato' category.

Anyone wanting information can email me at cm8394163@aol.com. Entry forms will be available at the City Park during the event. There is not a fee to enter. You can also see additional information about the contest on our FaceBook page (Stephenville Organic Gardening Club). Hope to see you there!
