Sick foliage & issues

Hi,

I've grown peppers before but never paid close attention, mainly focused on tomatoes and other. This year I got very interested and also started growing in containers. The concept of overwintering them is most interesting and will try that.

Most are growing well and healthy. Here's a few issues I could use help with. The first 2 show yellowing and brown spot, similar to septoria on a tomato. The other two show blackening.

Is this a fungus or what. Thanks for any tips.

Probably Cercospora leaf spot, a fungal disease. It resembles Septoria on tomato somewhat with the light tan or gray centers to the lesions.
Not sure what those black areas are.

A different disease: just talked with someone in North Carolina who said her pepper plants had lost all their leaves in 3 days -- healthy green leaves just dropped off the plant just like that; fruits are still on the plants and still look healthy... any ideas??

Green leaves falling off a pepper plant suddenly wouldn't be a disease. Sounds more like the plants went into shock. Over fertilizing will do it, sudden temperature swings will do it too but that's not likely this time of year. Overwatering/too much rain could do it also.
