Default Cherokee Lemon

I included the top of the tomato in the pic to show the radial cracking. It really does look exactly like a yellow cherokee purple. My CP split exactly the same way. And the fruit are the same size; it's a slicer, but not a giant beefsteak like Dr Wyche's.

Flavor is the typical mildness of a yellow tomato. It's not bad at all, but I just like yellow brandywine better. Plus the radial cracking tendency makes it hard to sell as a market tomato. I'm glad I grew Cherokee Lemon (thank you for the seeds, whoever you were), but I probably won't grow it again.

It was me.
Sorry they cracked so badly and were so mild for you. I grow in Earthboxes so the water supply stays constant, also our growing season here is also our dry season, so cracks were not an issue for me, and there was a very good acid sweet balance for me.
It never ceases to amaze me how different a tomato can be from one area to the other.
Maybe they were mild due to the excess water they took up? In any event, it is all about finding what works for us in our growing conditions. Sorry it didn't work out for you, but thanks for trying them.

Thank you. I would do it all over again. A lot of the flavor this year has been watered-down, because I need to get better at running my irrigation.
