First Little Lucky
It's not quite ripe, but I had to pick this because a storm threatened. I cannot wait to taste it. The pictures do not do it justice!
Thanks Marsha for sharing seeds with me . Linda |

You are welcome! I was crazy about it. So good, and so pretty too. Really productive.
It is returning this year. |

Little Lucky?
My Little Lucky's are very small and mostly heart shaped. I heard that the seed might not yet be stable. Are they typically like this...

I had some heart-shaped ones too, although mine were blunt hearts. I came to really LOVE the flavor of Little Lucky, so much so that it's the only repeat in this year's line-up!

LL is supposed to be completely stable. Mine were also blunt heart shaped with PL. Mine did not have the sharp heart point.

Thank you for your replies, Ginger and Linda. So do you think the seed may have been crossed? I grew three plants, two plants had these small pointy hearts and one plant larger tomatoes and more blunt hearts as in the following photos. Does this one look more true to type?

The tomato in your second picture looks similar to what I grew. I hope you saved seeds from that one.

Yes, I saved seed from all three but I'll discard the seed from the small pointy hearts.

There's Little Lucky:
http://tatianastomatobase.com/wiki/Little_Lucky which has been stable from the get go, translate many years. And then there's Little Lucky Heart: http://tatianastomatobase.com/wiki/L...b=General_Info which appeared in 2005 and has also been stable, as you can see from the above link. And well known seed sources for both of the above. Of course I have no idea where any of you got your Little Lucky seeds, perhaps some of you didn't know there was a heart version. And it looks like none of you deliberately bought your heart seeds, which leaves a possible trading possibility as I see it. Best I can do right now, although yes, it is known that there can be a mutation that leads to a few fruits on a plant that show hearts, not normal for a variety, and yes, sometimes they are stable. Two examples I can think of right now are Orange Minsk Heart and Brad's Black Heart. Carolyn
