While most of the country is knee deep or more in snow, Miami is sunny, and bright. This type of cloud formation is rare here so I thought I'd show a little of it.

It could mean snow on the way to Miami? Just kidding.

I have heard it being called cloud waves. I'm not sure why it happens, but it looks cool when it does.

I saw skies like that yesterday, up our way, but at sunrise. It was amazing.

Sure wish I could have got a picture, but I was in the vanpool on my way into work...

The actual term is strato cumulus. I hope I spelled it right.

It happened in 1972, but it never reached the ground. I got out of work at 2AM and my wipers were frozen to the windshield.
