Default Tatjana

I am looking for a source for Tatjana tomato seeds. I got them last yr and thought I'd seed saved them. But, now I find I did not. I see that Heritage Seed had offered them, but I don't see them anywhere. So, I am looking for a vendor of 25 to 30 seeds. I know we aren't allowed to do business here, but if you can point me in a direction, I'd be grateful. Thanks!

You would probably get more answers if asking for them in the Wanted seed subforum instead of a thread in General discussion, but I can tell you the following.

http://tatianastomatobase.com/wiki/T...b=General_Info

Tania was listing them for 2014 as noted above, and probably also still has some. Clara from Germany sent seeds to both of us. I listed them in a seed offer several years ago but am sure I still have seeds left.

No way can I search for them now, but if for next year I'm pretty sure I can find them this summer.

So just let me know what you want to do.

Actually Clara sent this one and one that was an alternative spelling of Mischka which I can;t find at Tania's site and I bet she sent that one to Mischka as well.

Hope that helps,

Carolyn

Thanks, Carolyn, I did think about posting in the Wanted Varieties section of the Tomato Seed Exchange, but since I was hoping to purchase from a vendor rather than look for someone who happened to have extra seeds, I thought maybe General was more appropriate. I had looked on Tania's site, but you are right in that she may have some left even though not listed. I usually keep good records about where I have gotten seeds; somehow I did not on these, though something tells me I might have gotten them as a gift from Heritage Seeds last year. Either way, Tatjana was a great tomato for me. I grew 2 plants in Earthboxes and they did very well, producing many tasty tomatoes. So, thanks again. I will try contacting Tania.

Have you looked over at Ohio Seeds. Also if you didn't get them from Steve at Heritage you may have got them from here last year. That's where I got mine from. Loads of tasty tomatoes from Tatjana. Was amazed how compact but loaded they were. With a great old time tomato flavor. Had 100% fruit set all season on all plants even during extended 100+ degree days. Sort of boggled my mind seeing that. Hope this helps.

Good idea for Mike at Ohio seeds since Clara also sends seeds to him at well.

my computer could not link to your HERE link so perhaps someone who got it from my seed offer was reoffering it here at Tville. Few requested it from my seed offer and i'd have to look at the Fall performance threads to see if they liked it or not.

Here's the link to Mike's site: http://ohioheirloomseeds.com/product...a-tomato-seeds

Let me add that I'm glad so many people like Tatjana! I had ordered and grown the seeds to honor "our" Tatjana, but she was too shy to grow and offer seeds herself. So Steve and Mike did.

You're very welcome, Farmette!

Mischka was the most productive cherry I ever had and if you are looking for another great Russian variety, please try Tsunami also, similar appearance as Tatjana.
