Fused multipule stems
Hi friends,
So, i noticed that in both my Black Krim and my San Marzano plants that several of the ' sucker ' stems fused to the main stem. I found this to be no problem to the plant but was wondering if it may be caused by the plants being in a windy area. I would like to know if anyone has seen this happen in the past and if anyone has an idea of what might cause it. |

I had a whole lot of plants with fused stems and finally figured out what caused it. We had some terrible storms, lots of rain and lots of wind and the leaves and stems when young laid on top of each other. I had a lot of plants and wasn't able to shake excess water off of them so they stayed that way for days and the wet leaves kinda fused the stems together.
Since most of my fused leaves were on the young plants and I was going to be burying that part of the stems down, I just pinched them off. |
